Smoooth Dogg – Klarna
Klarna is making banking and shopping smoooth. To manifest this and to break the brand into new markets, we wanted to show that when you shop with Klarna, you get smoooth.
In order to get the message out, we got Snoop Dogg to change his name, crowning him Smoooth Dogg. We then had him create a line of Smoooth Dogg products for Klarna and ended up with him investing in the company.
I was part of the lead creative team at Nord DDB, ultimately responsible for all ideas and executions.

The news about Smoooth Dogg were exclusively published by Forbes, but quickly gained global attention and got featured in major news outlets worldwide, with either an investor of lifestyle angle.


Product specific ads
In paid media, we ran a series of shorter product films with Smoooth Dogg using the Klarna app to shop for a limited series of merch items.
We then made the whole campaing shoppable
The merch items included a range of smoooth products: gold infused peanut butter, cashmere toiletpaper in a velvet bag and the silk robe from the launch film – all available for purchase, exclusively in the Klarna app.
